Bharat Bijlee (BB) is headquartered in Mumbai, India and has a national sales and service network. Established in 1946, it is a leading manufacturer of power transformers, industrial motors and, recently, of magnet technology machines for elevators and other specialised applications.

BB’s factory is certified for ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

The partnership with KEB began in 2007 to offer drives and automation products to the Indian and neighbouring markets. In 2013, the cooperation was extended with the local assembly and testing of F5 drives in various housings from 15 kW to 900 kW. The new production facility enables functional and regenerative load testing of drives, and the involvement of KEB experts in processes and quality systems means a world-class offering with rapid response to demanding customers across India.

Servo solutions for the plastics industry are the principal growth driver, with over 7000 packages already supplied, but KEB drives are also used in a variety of machine automation applications, notably in wire-drawing, crane, textile, and hydraulic press. BB’s domain expertise enables the special features of the KEB product to be aligned with the need of the application to build a value proposition for customers; customized drive solutions with HMI, PLC, and network and automation components are also offered.

BB’s Service Centre and network of service providers supports all KEB products installed in India, and has the critical responsibility of responding quickly to complaints and to maximizing the up time of user installations.
